Jaiku does have some things that Twitter doesn't. It really advances further on the idea of your presence. It also has a downloadable mobile app which more so integrates with some Nokia phones.
The only problem with Jaiku is that its much more complicated than Twitter which may be why Twitter has taken off in a bigger way... in the USA that is.
