Imagine what they are going to do when they start monetizing on this all. Imagine text link ads inside every tweet. Wouldn't that be nuts, but people would still use it and they would make money. How do you all think they will profit from it?

OK, it's all very impressive how quickly Twitter is growing. But for me, the interesting point about Twitter's future is what it means to us as users. Are we at the end of Twitter's "Golden Age"? Is spam going to become unmanageable? Are they going to overcomplicate it? Will the average person's follower base mature and even out, or increase exponentially until they can see nothing but promotional messages? Any ideas, anyone?

Ive read there are +14 million unique users now. Has that figure changed?

There are figures that claim that users visit during an average time of 27 minutes as a daily basis, FB and other kind of similar social sites...that's a big figure to think about...users have good time there, thats for sure !!

I think facebook and twitter each have unique qualities that work in tandem with the right social media strategy. I wonder how many of those 90 mill. FB users are active and log in more than once a month? Fascinating times we are living! Thanks for the article Nick.
