Does anyone remember Yahoo Auctions? I don't like to bash new ideas at their conception. They are already on track in copying what eBay does well and trying to improve on things that eBay struggles with. Feedback is crucial to the marketplace. I don't like the recent changes they have made in terms of sellers not being able to leave feedback. I understand that they want to protect the consumers ability to buy but why not give the seller a voice of complaint when they get burned. Hopefully trooq will consider things like this to even out the buyer/seller playing field. The consumer is always right... but the seller cannot be neglected in the process

Re: trooQ’s Social Approach to Beat eBay?

I've just heard this trooq and I might try this as well. I agree, a FB app would definitely help us grow the community, and it is in the plan to build one. I wanted to let you know that you can actually find friends who are already on the site, via the people search. Also, upon sign up, we can import your address book and cross reference that to our user base and identify who of your friends are already members and you can send them an invite.

Anyways, again thanks so much for the write up and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to send me an e-mail.

Cheers,
Will
