Googling the term found your blog and really connected with the attributes that you had put together, do you have any objections with me sharing them with a network of like minded individuals? My connection is less to do with social media, but when you reflect on what is happening in the middle east, facilitated to some extent by the social media - it demonstrates the power that like minded people hold

Re: The Social Capitalist’s Manifesto

A commodity is a fancy word for luxury, if your labour is a luxury to your employer, then you are practically his Slave; specially if there are no regulations to protect You (the most precious resourse in Gods Eyes) from his MANY ABUSES!!!

Re: The Social Capitalist’s Manifesto

Both terms "social" and "capitalist" does not really seem to go together.
Yes, I got the idea is what manner "social" was used in the post
Reading Marx:
"A society is capitalist if most production is carried on by employees working with means of production (equipment and materials) belonging to their employer, producing commodities which belong to the employer. (Employees: those whose services are treated as commodities. 'Labour is a commodity like any other')"
I think he only missed to say that employees belong to the employer, as well:)

Socializers and capitalists fit well with one another :) Combine the two and you have a social capitalist!

Re: The Social Capitalist’s Manifesto

Both terms "social" and "capitalist" does not really seem to go together.

This idea can be applied everywhere but the main point is the attributes of social capitalists who take advantage of these new technologies/platforms. To help their ideas spread.

Re: The Social Capitalist’s Manifesto

The digital revolution almost proves Marx's critique of capital consolidation during the industrial era, but it also shows how dated and irrelevant his solutions are to the new economy.

At this point, abolishing ownership of the means of production would be oppressive to average people with a bit of initiative. This is because a computer, internet connection, and free CMS script are all you need to create profit directly from own labor.

The information revolution appears to be putting control over production in more decentralized hands. Soon we'll even see it in machine manufacturing as the 3D printers become more common and affordable.

Of course, the power of the "captains of industry" isn't completely gone, nor will they completely give in without a fight. If any tribes get too big, the kings might notice. Its just getting harder for them to do anything about it.

Re: The Social Capitalist’s Manifesto

What an amazing post, as an entrepreneur, you need to take risks and be highly adaptable to change, that's our advantage over large companies.
