  • Goodness Gracious Me, I hope so! I'm rapidly growing tired of rolling my eyes every time I hear someone say that facebook is a useful business tool.
  • Bertelsmann has a "My Career" Facebook application that allows you to search for jobs within its companies. I also recently downloaded another Facebook job application that allows me to search my friends backgrounds to see if any of them have ever worked for a company I'm interested in. To me those are both very useful...

    So yes, Facebook is primarily used for social purposes, but as with any other tool out there--the computer and the Internet, for instance--its use and usefulness is dependent more on who is using it rather than on the actual merit of the tool or application.
  • @Karina how many people are using that application though?
