I'd say the biggest problem was the misalignment between the content and the intended audience. All of the stuff they're talking about are things that most geeks already know about.  And most of us certainly don't need screencasts and how-tos when it comes to beta sites... Perhaps it would have caught on if the target audience was more mainstream?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The only other problem was that production value was inconsistent. What works about Diggnation is that it's just a couple guys sitting on a couch with their laptops. Having Irene sit on a chair didn't gel with her then kicking it over to a newsdesk, and doing split-screen interviews. They should have either gone all out and had her standing on a well-lit stage in front of a huge video wall (ala Entertainment Tonight), or they should have kept it very simple with people joining her on a couch, and letting everyone just kind of be themselves, instead of being so newsanchory.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The *name* of the show was cool though :-)&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Sarah</dc:creator><pubDate>Mon, 09 Jun 2008 13:04:07 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
