  • Addition of the NY Times is of dubious value. The paper is in decline (as almost all newspapers are) and is considered a highly biased source, lacking credibility, by a majority of those who lean Republican or Conservative. Whether you agree or disagree, that's a large segment of the population.

Considering the focus on industries, Linkedin would have been better off partnering with The Wall Street Journal or Investors Business Daily.
  • This is a brilliant partnership! Its great for busy people who doesn't have the time to read and on the other hand, wants to know the latest news of their industry.
  • I love reading news that is of my industry.Hope to see more coming up
  • Will LinkedIn partner with other companies as well?Hope to see more than news!
  • Their implementation might be slow but I believed the users of linkedIn will be delighted to know that they have made new features to increase the usability of it. Sometimes the least applications might also an attractive point for those people who just want a place to gather.
  • Able to get news feed from industries that we preferred are interesting! LinkedIn might not be the first to get this feature up but it still prove to show that they are putting in effort to make it interesting .Probably, they should get something up which is their own creation.
  • The announcement of integrating with Xobni, will definitely attract users that needs their contact to be spread desperately especially for those in the marketing or production line. LinkedIn is slowly progressing towards publicity
  • LinkedIn a good network where it is possible to find a lot of good stuff, I was pleased with news about that that now I can read them in the Spanish language.
  • While I can understand the appeal of partnering with a prestigious publication like the NY Times I would like to see more choice as to the source of the news that I read - and I think that is coming.
  • You are dead right about the current social platform race and how it is reliant upon access to our contact lists. Many people already rely on a number of these social networking applications to perform their daily work. I'm a bit reluctant to open up my personal contact list but I'm happy to use these systems for business - and I would like to be able to reliably access my contact list from any device wherever I am. This is just one aspect of the future of social media.
