While I may not have had a structured business curriculum, I Emerson taught innovation and forward thinking in marketing. I look forward to see how my old IMC major progresses there over the next few years. It's nice to see Google getting involved with education growth as well! Nice post Socialtimes :)

Re: Google Grants Used for Innovative College Program

This class has offered a great opportunity for Farm Aid to tap the new ideas these students have about adword,, the way people use social media, and what people look for from our site. It allows large companies to directly connect with their customers and it enables small companies to reach large audiences within a limited budget. As a student in this class, I have been excited to bring our knowledge in dealing with these new media to startups and non-profits. For many of them, it has been a great help!

Re: Google Grants Used for Innovative College Program

This class is providing great real world experience and also allows us to be inolved in charitable efforts. Google was very good at training and helping us understand the way Google Adwords and Google Analytics work. I feel more equipped to go into the "real world" with the experience I've had so far in learning marketing with a social media emphasis. It's something that all marketers are going to have to learn and be comfortable with in the future, so it is nice to learn how social media can quickly benefit both nonprofit (Partners for Youth with Disabilities!) and for profit companies.

Re: Google Grants Used for Innovative College Program

Working with the Emerson class team has been terrific. Having just reviewed the information that Google Analytics provides, the information it provides is really helpful (and revealing!), The other social media the group has created sound very exciting, and I can't wait to see if these efforts produce long term benefits (more mentors, more mentees, and maybe even more funding) for Partners for Youth with Disabilities and for Partners Online, our online group mentoring program for youth with disabilities.

Re: Google Grants Used for Innovative College Program

As a member of this class, I find it to be one of the more helpful classes in my curriculum. Meeting with Google and other social media professionals has provided us with knowledge we will be using in the future as well as with our current client Partners for Youth With Disabilities.
