Social Times: Forgive Me for Missing A Story

  • Marc Dierens · 1 year ago
Hey Nick, never mind about missing a story. Personally I don't want to read the same facts 3 or 4 times, which can be the case if you follow Mashable, TechCrunch and other Social Media sites.

What I prefer is a personal feel or touch to a story, one that does not feel duplicated, and that's why I love your blog! So stay healthy and post lots more items! Cheers, Marc

Rather than seeing breaking news here, what I really value is your (and others) commentary on the news. Who cares if that happens a few days later. In fact, I often wait a few days anyway, just so the comments can build up.

Keep up the good work and keep up the health.

Interesting, I just wrote about basically this. See my post about bloggers who apologize for going offline.

    Hey Nick!
I send you a Message in FB yesterday telling you:
"You didn't notice that yet ? I believe those are the hot news of the day :)" and after reading your post above I am affraid that maybe you misunderstood my intentions... All I wanted to do is inform you just in case that you missed it! I did not blame you for being late! Blogs (and in your case blog posts with nice thoughts and commentary) doesnt have to be on time!
Don't worry...enjoy your life, be healthy and keep us informed when you feel like it!

Chill out Nick, you are doing a great job. And by the way, at least a little bit of life still takes place offline, and it would be pathetic if you hung out in your room (or even Starbucks) all day.

    Hey Nick,

Since you're basically a "segment" manager for SNS, why not send out a subscription-based daily feed consisting of exec summaries for each topic and cut back on your in-depth analysis to say 4 posts a day?
