Social Times: C-SPAN Gets Social for the Dem Convention

  • Leslie Bradshaw · 1 year ago
Hey Nick, thanks so much for posting on this. Wanted to also note that another local firm is involved, New Media Strategies, as we update the site around the clock MANUALLY (working with bloggers in Denver/from afar, online communities, media makers... you name it). With my connection to both NMS and JESS3, this has been an incredible project to say the least.

As for C-SPAN being "boring" it all depends on where you are coming from I guess. Personally -- client aside -- the fact that they don't go on and on with punditry and let me make my own decisions is awesome. And there is no other network out there that covers as much of the political process as C-SPAN. Definitely give me a call if you would like to discuss more -- I tried reaching you earlier today but know you are swamped with the impending Social Ad Summit.

Here are what a few bloggers are saying about C-SPAN (public affairs network) VS. TV networks...

"Ignore Convention Pundit Blowhards; Watch C-Span" http://pjnet.org/post/1853/

"It's good that we have C-Span and Internet options to get a direct feed of the convention" http://thebluevoice.blogspot.com/2008/08/democr...

"best view of the convention was the one unadorned by punditry and available only on CSpan" http://longlivethevillagegreen.blogspot.com/200...

"...mid Leach speech, switched over to C-SPAN coverage and was met with roaring approval by the bloggers." http://bdevine.wordpress.com/2008/08/26/c-span-...

PS: I am also on TV every night sharing what is hopping on the Hub :-)

    Best Wishes,
    Leslie
