I've installed both on my blog. I'm using the FaceBook Connect via Disqus commenting system and the Google Friend Connect for people to join the site. I'm using both because I want to have authentication for blog comments but also have a community aspect to the site. The Google Friend connect allows you to display members which as far as I know FaceBook Connect does not. There is an application for Joomla which integrates the FaceBook Connect with JomSocial for Joomla which enables community integration between the two platforms. But I'm a firm believer that hosting a separate social networking application on your site is becoming a thing of the past. So they're both good in their own right it will just be nice when you can have blog comment authentication through Google Friend Connect.

Now , Friend Connect is the best blog tool you can have nowadays.
Yes , because of Google , it will have many many new options so i will stick with it.
F-Connect is a very beautiful tool as well , but i cant put both of them as comment system , so my choice is Google's Friend Connect.

We are in the middle of looking at both systems for our network and blog. We are leaning toward Facebook because they seem to have the corner on profile movement.

I can see the community driving more traffic here. I'm more interested in whether the content generated by users is "owned" by Google or me. Will it all be served via ajax and totally not factor in to the on-page ranking factors.
